A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton that a purchase order to A & M Machine Shop for pump <br />repairs in the amount of X365.27, be approved. Motion carrted. <br />+ + + <br />6. The Assistant Police Chief and Dispatchers were authorized to <br />accept Bail Bonds, with the Corporation Court Judge approving <br />all Property Bonds. <br />+ + + <br />7. The City Attorney advised the Commission that it appears that <br />the Buddy Warren Compaay, /nc. may have financial difficulties <br />and may abandon the Water Dtstributton Extension project. <br />The Commission instructed the City Attorney to protect the <br />interest of the City in the matter. <br />+ + + <br />8. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd, seconded by Corrrnissioner <br />Boyle and carried that Estimate No. 7 from John Holland Company, <br />in the amount of X10,646.55 be approved for payment, subject to <br />vartficatton of extensions by fhe City Engineer. <br />+ + + <br />9. The City Clerk requested that the borrow $80,000. from the <br />two local bank to operate the City until tax money is available. <br />Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle <br />that the following Resolutions be approved on first and final <br />reading: <br />Resolution x`66-56 - $40,000. from La Porte State Bank. <br />Resolution #66-57 - $40,000. from Bayshore National Bank. <br />+ + + <br />10. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, and seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle that the City Clerk be authorized to pay the Fire Department <br />$900.00 for expenses to Fireman's Training School. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />11. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle that the Commission approve a request from Couch Construction <br />Company that the project time on the Lift Station #4 be stopped. <br />(See Exhibit f#1).
