<br />• <br />• <br />4. The Commission received a report from Mr. Keith Cummins <br />stating that the Civic Center and Library work is progressing <br />according to schedule. The Library is near completion, and <br />the Civic Center ~s~houZd be complete within 30 to 40 days. <br />He further stated that they are ready to preceed with the construc- <br />tion of the Jail Additions. Commissioner Stabs requested a meeting <br />with Cummins and the Chief of Police to examine the proposed plans for <br />the project. <br />+ + <br />5. Mayor Pfeiffer opened the meeting for a Public Hearing, to consider <br />the rezoning of Lots 9, 2, 3, Block 796 Town of La Porte, from class <br />"C" Single Family Dwelling to class "B" Commercial. <br />A representative of the Tom Maes, Estate stated that they are <br />delighted with the proposed change. <br />Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs that the change from class "C" Single Family Dwelling to <br />class "B" Commercial be approved. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />6. Mr. C. E. Brown, representing the local Air Conditioning and <br />Heating contractors requested that the Commission pass an <br />ordinance regulating the installation of units and requiring <br />licenses and permits. <br />The City Engineer was requested to obtain a copy of the Cify <br />of Pasadena Ordinance. <br />+ + + <br />7. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle <br />and carried, that the following Accounts Payable be approved: <br />Stephens Baker Insurance $950.00 <br />T. E.
