M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SS/ON PRESENT: Mayor Pro-tem Lois J. Compton, <br />Commissioners Russell Shepherd, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Charles <br />D. Boyle. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Askins, City Clerk <br />Marilyn Kelley, Chief of Police H. F. Freeman, Supt. of Streets <br />Clifford E11is, Supt. of Waterworks Lyman Cunningham. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pro-tem Compton. <br />+ + + <br />1. The minutes of August 1, 1966 were amended as follows: <br />Item 15 - Delete from Records. <br />The minutes of August 9, 1966 were approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. L. L. Stanek requested that the City pay him rental on <br />the wafer truck they are purchasing from him, until he can <br />furnish the City with a title to be transfered. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that the City pay Mr. Stanek X200.00 <br />rental on the truck, to be applied against the purchase <br />price. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Compton reported that she has received numerous <br />complaints about the parking at the Post Office. Further <br />that in talking with the Postmaster she learned that he has <br />received notice to relocate the drop-box. She recommended <br />that parking signs be placed in the immediate area of the <br />Post Office. After a general discussion, action was tabled <br />for study. <br />+ + + <br />4. The City Clerk stated that Mr. Eugene /barra has requested <br />that the City shell his street. <br />The Commission rejected the request, stating that the street <br />was not prepared to specification in the beginning. <br />+ + + <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />
