~ r <br />99. The Commission accepted a Letter of resignation from Jack <br />Harris, Chairman of the Housing Authority Board. Mayer <br />Pfeiffer recommended that the Commisston not make another <br />appointment until after the Public Housing Election on <br />April 9, 9967. <br />+ + + <br />92. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Shepherd that the final estimate to Mercer Constructton <br />Company in the amount of X9,234.62, be approved for payment. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />93. Commissioner Compton recommended that the City either purchase <br />a street sweeper or contract to have Main Street swept at <br />lease once a week. The City Engineer was instructed to <br />investigate cosfs. <br />+ + + <br />94. The City Engineer reported the foiLowing quotations on fhe <br />cost of mowers: <br />Sears ,$644.00 <br />Kemp & Tony (International) 982.80 <br />La Porte Lawn & Garden (Toro) 889.95 <br />Action was table for study. <br />+ + + <br />15. Mr. Vvalf Baumbach of Arf Simpson Funeral Nome stated that there <br />is a possibility that they will go out of the ambulance business <br />in the near future. He further stated that they will give <br />the City a definite time later, and will give at Least a thirty <br />day notice. <br />Mr. George Lunday stated that he is tnterested in providing <br />ambulance service for the City. <br />After a Ienghty discussion, acfion was tabled until official <br />notice is received and further study has been made. <br />+ + + <br />THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS AT HAND, THE METING iNA ADJOiURNED. <br />/ ~~ <br />H.
