Byrd
Vice President
•
FRIENDSWOOD DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
A Subsidiary of Humble Oil & Refining Company
September 22 1967
Mrs. Marilyn Kelley
Secretary
City of LaPorte
P. O. Box 728
LaPorte, Texas 77571
Dear Mrs Kelley:
13.ry~irrrr
1116 Gemini Avenue
Houston, Texas 77068
HU 8-0660
Friendswood Development Company, developers of BAYPORT and
Clear Lake City, was pleased to learn that the City of LaPorte was
• in the process of re-zoning areas within the City Limits to provide
an industrial zone which included our properties west of the Southern
Pacific Railroad.
As you are aware, our original plan of development called for both
industrial and residential areas on these properties. Because of
the rapid growth of the BAYPORT project, it is requested that all
of this area be zoned as industrial. The attached plat indicates the
Friendswood Development Company properties which we are
requesting be re-zoned as industrial.
Your cooperation in this and other matters is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
~-
J.
