• /. -' <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs and seconded by <br />Commissioner Boyle, That the car be purchased from the <br />low bidder, Jay Marks Chevrolet, on base bid price of <br />X2,697.28, and that the 9965 Ford trade be retained as <br />a City Hall vehicle. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />4. Mr. A. H. Roberts, Roberts Broghers, l~ruc., stated that <br />an error was made in his bid price and that the lettering <br />on the elevated water rank has been changed to a more <br />expensive lettering. He requested that he be allowed to <br />submit a bill in the amount of ,5,394.00, an increase of <br />.950.00 over the accepted bid amount. <br />Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs, that an increase of X950.:;0 in the bid price be <br />allowed. Motion carried. <br />t + + <br />5. The City Engineer presented a report on the Sack Garbage <br />Collection System, (See Exhtbtt No. 2), and the Steel <br />Container Garbage Collection System, (See Exhibit No. 3). <br />Action was tabled for study. <br />+ + + <br />6. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin, and canted, that Ordinance No. 779 be passed on first <br />and final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE CALLING THE REGULAR ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTS; DESIGNATING AN ELECTION PRECINCT AND A POLLING PLACE; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF VOTING MACHINES; APPOINTING ELECTION <br />OFFICIALS; PROVIDING FOR METHOD AND DATES OF ABSENTEE VOTING; <br />PROVIDING FOR RETURN AND CA~JVASS OF VOTES OF SAID ELECTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR NOTICE; PROVIDING FOR FILING DEADLINE AND FILING <br />FEES FOR CANDIDATES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />7. New hours for the Garbage Dump were set to be 8:00 A. M. to <br />6:00 P.M,., Monday fhru Saturday. <br />+ + + <br />
