9.-~/ <br />• <br />5. Commissioner Compton recommended that the La Porte Neighborhood <br />Centers be authorized to afminister the activities held in the <br />City facilities Zocated on Block 81, Town of La Porte. She <br />further recommended that the ,25.00 contribution to North Side <br />Civic Center be discontinued, and that the contribution to the <br />La Porte Civic Center be increased from X50.00 to X75.00. <br />Commissioner Compton so moved, Commissioner Boyle seconded and <br />the motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />6. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin, and carried, that Low bidder E. P. Brantley, be authorized <br />to build a 40X90' combination court on Block 81, Town of La Porte. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs, that Mayor Pfeiffer be authorized to secure btds for <br />the cost of repairing the Zights on the baseball fields dtrectiy <br />behind the Swimming Pool, and to contact the School Board for <br />assistance in the cost of repairing the Zights. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, and seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyce, that the Mayor be authorized to request that the State Highway <br />Department place a traffic ltght at the intersection of "G" Street <br />and Highway 146. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />9. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Burgin, <br />and carried, thatthe following purchases be approved. <br />Mabry Foundry Company (Pipe) .411.70 <br />Armco Steet (Pipe) 502.44 <br />+ + + <br />10. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs, and carried, that the following accounts payable be <br />approved: <br />
