<br />5. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Crofoot and carried, that Ordinance No. 824 be passed on <br />Ftrsf and Final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE MAYOR AND THE COMMISSIONERS TO <br />POSITIONS WITH POWER, AUTHORITY, AND DUTIES 1N THE SUPER- <br />VISION OF THE SEVERAL DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS; <br />ANO APPO l NT ! NG THE C01~iM / SS IONERS 7"0 TF_ RMS AS MAYOR PRO-TEM OF <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTS, FOR THE PERIOD MAY 1, 1969, THROUGH <br />APRIL 30, 1971, BOTH INCLUSIVE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />6. The City Administrator recommended that the change in water <br />rates be postponed until Fall. <br />+ + + <br />7. A motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by <br />Commissioner Boyle, that Charles Christensen be appointed <br />to fill the vacancy on the Board of Adjustment. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. Commissioner Thomas made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin, that Edgar C. Barlow and Associates be employed to <br />update the City of La Porte Industrial District Map, at <br />a fee not to exceed $550.00. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />9. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin and carried, that the City enter into an agreement with <br />the City of Lomax to provide them with ambulance service at a <br />fee of $1.00 per capita per month, and Jail and Dispatching <br />service at a fee of $1.00 per capita, plus cost of meals. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ t t <br />10. Mrs. Marilyn Kelley presented a letter of resignation as City <br />Clerk, effective Juty 1, 1969. (See exhibit No. 1). <br />+ + + <br />11. Commissioner Crofoot made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin, that the City purchase the Texas Penal Code and an <br />annual subscription to the service.
