H. Grabbe X3,500.00 <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin, and <br />Crofoot. <br />NAYS. None. <br />+ + + <br />4. Mayor Smith stated he had been contacted by Mayor <br />Polker of Morgans Point in regards to the service <br />contracts between the two cities. The Commission <br />agreed to meet with Mayor Polker, Tuesday, May 5, <br />1970 to discuss the contracts. <br />+ + + <br />5. Commissioner Kibodeaux stated he had made a <br />comparison study with several surrounding cities <br />pertaining to water and sewer rates and that our <br />water rates appeared to be about the same, but <br />the sewer rates are a bit high. <br />After a lengthly discussion, the Commission <br />recommended further study to see how our rates <br />compare with the city's overall fiscal policy. <br />+ + + <br />6. Motion was made by Commissioner Thomas, seconded <br />by Commissioner Burgin that the City enter into <br />the S.E.T. Program. Motion carried by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin, <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />7. Motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded <br />by Commissioner Thomas that Ordinance No. 859 be <br />adopted as read. Motion carried by the following; <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin, and <br />Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />
