Harris Survey, A-30, <br />and the Johnson Hunter Survey, A-35, Harris County, Texas, <br />according to plat thereof, dated July 5, 1970, by Calvin n/ ~ ~, <br />/~' <br />J. Morgan and Associates, Civil Engine~,rs, ousto~,~~ ~ ~.~}~ <br />All of said land owned by Weems lies wi hi`~i^the ex- ~ (~ <br />1. . <br />• elusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of La <br />Porte, Texas (11La Porte"). <br />La Porte has indicated its intention to annex all of <br />said land to La Porte and make the same a part of La Porte <br />and subject to taxation by La Porte. Weems desires that <br />such land not be annexed to La Porte and that the annexation <br />be deferred until some future time. <br />La Porte is willing to defer annexation of the land pro- <br />vided it receives a payment from Weems of TWENTY THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($20,000) which shall be considered a payment in lieu <br />of the taxes which would otherwise have been collected by <br />La Porte for the tax year 1971. <br />A G R E E M E N T <br />In consideration of the premises La Porte and Weems <br />covenant and agree as follows: <br />Section l: That Weems will pay to La Porte the sum <br />of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000) which will be considered <br />C <br />
