<br />Regular Meeting 8/9/71 - continued <br />• AYES: Commissioners Thomas and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />+ + + <br />9. Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />to purchase two (2)"Walkie-Talkie" radios, one for <br />the Fire Department and one for the Police Department, <br />for $460.00 each. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />+ + + <br />10. Motion by Comm. Thomas, seconded by Comm. Crofoot <br />to adopt Ordinance No. 884-A as read. Motion carried <br />• by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, "GARBAGE AND TRASH" <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; <br />CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND A REPEALING CLAUSE; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />11. Mayor Pro-Tem Bibodeaux read an Ordinance changing <br />the resident service fee for mobile homes. <br />John D. Lawler, owner of Oak Park Mobile Home Park, <br />addressed the Commission asking that the increase <br />in resident service fee for mobile homes be less <br />than specified in the proposed Ordinance, and that <br />action on this be tabled until all of the Commission <br />was present. <br /> <br />• Motion by Comm. Thomas, seconded by Comm. Crofoot <br />to postpone adoption of this proposed Ordinance <br />
