Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />12. Comm. Thomas stated something had to be done about <br />the leaky roof over the tax office, that water <br />leaking in was ruining records stored there and <br />since this was a budgeted item he felt the work <br />should be done immediately. <br />Comm. Crofoot stated the project was in the <br />Engineers hands and asked Mr. Werner to contact <br />Mr. Busch in regards to when the work would <br />be done. <br />• + + + <br />13. Discussion was held on the proposed change in the <br />sewer rates. <br />Mr. Ernest Brown addressed the Commission and ex- <br />plained how the city must meet its bond requirements. <br />Mr. Brown stated that current water and sewer rates <br />are falling slightly short of meeting the net <br />revenue requirements and that any revisions of the <br />rates should be upward in order to meet the require- <br />ments, which are legally binding the city. <br />Comm. Thomas questioned the figures presented by <br />Mr. Brown and stated that prior to a raise in rates <br />two years ago, bond requirements were being met. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Sampson <br />that Comm. Kibodeaux and the City Administrator <br />prepare a revenue comparison between the new and <br />old rates to be presented to the Commission at <br />a later date. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />• and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />+ + + <br />
