r <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTE CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />FEBRUARY 15, 1971 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. Carlos Smith, <br />Commissioners E. A. Thomas, I. J. Kibodeaux, Bobby J. Burgin <br />and H. Gould Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P.V.Werner, City Administrator; <br />Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; <br />Robert Cline, Director of Public Works and H. F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Smith. <br />+ + + <br />Invocation was offered by Commissioner Thomas. <br />1. Motion by Comm. Burgin, seconded by Comm. Crofoot <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />February 1, 1971 as presented. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Boyd L. Geisleman addressed the Commission <br />in regards to a street light being installed <br />at Idaho and "D" Street. Mr. Geisleman stated <br />his home had been burglarized and he felt a <br />street light was needed at this location. <br />The Commission advised Mr. Geisleman they would <br />have the Director of Public Works make a study <br />and recommendation of a light being placed at this <br />location. <br />+ + + <br />
