<br />• <br />LA PORTE CITY COMMISSION POLICY <br />Re: Assignment of wages for Credit Union members <br />(City employees only) <br />The City of La Porte will accept assignments through the Federal <br />Credit Union for payment of loans by employees under the foregoing <br />procedure. <br />This procedure will be used by the Federal Credit Union if the <br />City of La Porte is to participate in the program concerning assign- <br />ment of employee wages for repayment of loans. <br />A. An assignment form must be approved and excepted by the <br />City Administrator. <br />B. Federal Credit Union must notify the payroll clerk as to <br />any balance of loans when City employees are terminated. <br />C. Federal Credit Union will explain in detail to the employee <br />exactly what it is he or she is signing and the position of <br />the City before signing agreement. <br />D. The City will make payroll deductions for installments and <br />make final check payable to the Credit Union when agree- <br />, ments are on file. <br />E. Allow the Federal Credit Union to utilize the City Tax <br />Department for the purpose of conducting their business and <br />related activities.
