~ ~ ~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE SESSION HELD AFTER THE REGULAR MEETING <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor E. A. Thomas, <br />Commissioners, Boyle, Kibodeaux and Christensen. <br />STAFF PRESENT: Dick Brown, Bob Cline, Herb Freeman, <br />Jack Oliphant and Knox Askins. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Les McDonald and Johnny Busch, from Baytown <br />Engineering. <br />1. A brief background was given to give a status now <br />existing in Fairmont Park West. <br />Approximately two months ago an offer was made to <br />Wyatt Hedrick to provide plans and specs to Fairmont <br />Park West project for 3.25% of total construction <br />cost. After several delays, these plans and specs <br />were received. However, the City with the advice <br />of the Consulting Engineer considered these plans <br />not acceptable for use at this time. The drawings <br />were acceptable. After discussion following motion <br />was made by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Boyle. <br />• It stated as follows: <br />Knox Askins was authorized to contact W. C. Hedrick <br />in care of Al Koehler to offer 2.75/ for the drawings <br />only. A three day waiting period for an answer was <br />given. Authorization was also given to Baytown <br />Engineering to proceed with the specs for this project <br />and to have these ready to let bids on a time use <br />basis and take bids at the earliest date. The Motion <br />was voted on and passed unanimously. <br />2. Jack Oliphant, Fire Chief, gave a description on <br />equipment needed for a fire truck 1QCated in the <br />Fairmont Park area. After careful discussion and <br />explanation, a motion was made by Comm. Boyle and <br />seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux to advertize for fire <br />equipment to be used on this truck in Fairmont Park <br />on a turn key basis. These bids were to be received <br />May 11, 1972. <br />3. Ordinance No. 922 was read by Mayor Thomas. <br />Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. Christensen <br />to adopt as read.
