August 22, 1972 <br />Mr. Eduard Dale Campbell, President <br />Spenwick Place Municipal Utility District <br />9509 Carlow Lane <br />La Porte, Texas 77571 <br />Dear Mr. Campbell: <br />Thank you for your letter of August 1, 1972, concerning the <br />planned water .and sewer system for Spenwick Place Municipal <br />Utility District. Your letter has been discussed by the <br />La Porte City Commission, and we wish to advise as follows: <br />(i) Subject to negotiation of a detailed agreement, the <br />La Porte City Commission is agreeable in principle, <br />• to furnishing potable water and sewage treatment to <br />Spenwick Place M.U.D. <br />(2) We would expect the District to construct, at its expense, <br />and in accordance with plans and specifications to be <br />approved by our engi:,eering firm, Baytown Engineering <br />Company, necessary water and sewer mains from our Fairmont <br />Park water and sewer plants, to your District boundry line, <br />such mains to be constructed in city or county rights- <br />of-way, and deeded over to the City of La Porte upon <br />completion, after which time they would be under control and <br />maintenance of the City of La Porte. <br />(3) The City of La Pcrte would expect Spenwick Place M.U.D. <br />to pay the fees of Baytown Engineering Company to the <br />City of La Porte, fcr its consultation and advice to the <br />City of La Porte concerning this project. The signature <br />of appropriate officers of the Spenwick Place M.U.D. on <br />this letter will indicate the District's acceptance and <br />agreement to pay the fees of Baytown Engineering Company <br />in this regard, and authorization to Baytown Engineering <br />Company to initiate contacts with Mr. Don Roberts of <br />Lockwood, Andrews & Newman, the District's engineers, <br />to proceed with this project. <br /> <br />
