Regular Meeting 1/3/73 - continued • 5. Mr. James Spradling, the City's representative on the La Porte Utility Districts Board, reported to the Commission on the Board meeting of November 30, 1972. He stated that he was informed at this meeting that he would no longer be a member of the Board, as he did not live or own property in the district, also that there would be an election held on January 13, 1973 at the residence of J. R. Smith, 19 Bay Harbor Drive to elect members to the Board. Mr. Spradling reports on Board meeting of La Porte Utility District. Mr. Spradling commended the Commission for not acting on the bond sale request from College View, stating that while people may not realize it now, the Commission had done them a favor. + + + .7 6. CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE ALTERING THE PRIMA FACIE LIMITS ESTABLISHED FOR VEHICLES UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 6701D, VERNON'S TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES, UPON THE BASIS OF AN ENGINEERING AND TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION, UPON CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGH- WAYS, OR PARTS THEREOF, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, AS SET OUT IN THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A PENALTY OF A FINE NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. + + + • 7.
