Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Boyle that the City Engineer be authorized <br />to prepare a study of the sewer plants in <br />preparation for a grant application. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />11. Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to ratify the employment of <br />Mr. Clinton Owsley to make a telephone <br />rate study for the City. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />12. Mayor Thomas read correspondence from <br />Commissioner Tom Bass in which Comm. <br />Bass stated that he had set aside Wednesday <br />afternoons to meet with city officials in <br />his precinct. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />13. Mr. Harrison McDonald addressed the Commission <br />in regards to paving 200 feet of 7th Street <br />north from "J" Street. Mr. McDonald stated <br />in previous discussion, the City had agreed <br />to do the foundation base work and he would <br />do the concrete work, but since the City had <br />not been able to start the work because of <br />the bad weather and their other work load, <br />he was asking permission to do all of the work <br />himself at no cost. to the City. He stated <br />he had tenants occupying the building and was <br />in dire need of having the street finished. <br /> <br />Engineer <br />authorized to <br />prepare sewer <br />plant study <br />Mr. Clinton <br />Owsley's <br />employment <br />ratified <br />Comm. Bass to <br />meet with City <br />Officials <br />Mr. Harrison <br />McDonald's <br />request to <br />pave 7th Street <br />approved. <br />
