Regular mee~g 6/4/73 - Continued <br />• A question and answer session was held between several <br />Commissioners and two representatives of the Southwestern <br />Bell Telephone Company, Mr. Don Carpenter and Mr. Larry <br />Gregory. The questions dealt mostly with the cable route. <br />motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm- <br />issioner Christensen to adopt Ordinance No. 958 as <br />read. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price <br />and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES Ai'yD CHARGES FOR LOCAL <br />TELEPHONE SERVICE FURNI`:.HED BY SOUTHWESTERN BELL <br />TELEPHONE COMPANY; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RELATED <br />THERETO; REPEALING PRIOR RATE ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />4. The next item on the agenda was request for approval <br />to pay Estimate # 1 to Wolfe Construction Company. <br />Mayor Thomas stated he did not agree with paying <br />• 90% of the Central Park job at this time, due to <br />the fact that the City Engineer had turned down <br />the tennis court slab as being unacceptable. He <br />stated that his recommendation would be to pay <br />a portion of the estimate. Commissioner Christen- <br />sen recommended the payment of 50%, and stated <br />that he had. talked to representatives of the ~~Y'olfe <br />Construction Company every day, and they have <br />agreed to re-surfact~ the slab, and make it accept- <br />able to the Engineer. <br />Motion by Commissioner Christensen, seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux to pay 4~'olfe Construction <br />Company X9,000 for work performed at Central Park. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price <br />and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />Motion by Commissioner Christensen, seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux, to pay Wolfe Construction <br />Company 90°0 of .Estimate # 1 in the amount of X5,180.04 <br />for work performed at Mini-Bike Park. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price <br />• and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />Ordinance <br />on S.W. <br />Bell Tel. <br />Co. rates <br />$9,000 <br />payment to <br />~~+olfe <br />Constr.
