The Port Authority will donate the proposed improvements lying with. in the City of La Porte to your City upon the completion of the construction. Provided the City of Morgan's Point will deannex the 20-foot wide strip north of the existing north right-of-way line of North F Street, which is also your north city limit line, for annexa- tion by your City, the Port Authority will convey such 20-foot wide strip to the City of La Porte, together with the roadway improvements thereon. Mayor Guy Sutherland has indicated he feels that the City of Morgan's Point would be willing to deannex such strip, which is entirely Port Authority property except for the 133-foot wide Scu thern Pacific tract of lend at the railroad. A review of the Port Authority's records indicates that ail of the north -south streets between the Southern Pacific Branch railroad and Lobit Street (not including Lobit Street) have been closed by Commissioners Court oniy northward from the right-of-way of the pre- sent North F Street. None of these north -south streets have been closed in the City of La Porte, southward from the proposed Crestlane Road. Therefore, curb returns for selected future street intersec- tions will be added to the plans for the proposed Crestlane Road pavement. Please let us know which future north -south street in Le Forte should be provided for. Your early review and reply will be appreciated.
