<br />• Special Meeting 12/10/73 - continued <br />Mayor Thomas stated that opponents of the <br />annexation would be permitted to speak first, <br />then any proponents would be permitted to speak. <br />Mayor Shell E. Martin of the City of Shoreacres <br />addressed the Commission and read a letter <br />stating the City of Shoreacres objections to <br />the annexation. (See Exhibit A) <br />Mr. J. Cooper Hayden and Mr. James L. Robertson <br />representing owners of property in tract one <br />and tract two addressed question opposing the <br />annexation to the Commission. <br />Mr. Frank Mueller spoke in opposition of <br />the annexation of tract three. He stated <br />his mother owned property in this area and <br />they could not see any benefits as property <br />owners by the annexation and questioned the <br />availability of city services to the area. <br />• Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone wishing <br />to speak in favor of the annexation, and there <br />being none, declared the public hearing closed. <br />+ + + <br />2. Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. Price <br />that the meeting be adjourned.
