~~ ~ ~ <br />Special Meeting 1/10/74 - continued <br />.7 <br />of $10,000.00, therefore the Commission would <br />have to approve the transferring of additional <br />funds to make up the difference. <br />Comm. Boyle stated an additional $5,000.00 would <br />be needed to cover all cost of the building. <br />Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to transfer $5,000.00 from budget account 001-750-760 <br />to account 001-707-906. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mayor Thomas read the bids received and a <br />written recommendation from the city engineer, <br />• a copy of which is attached to and made a part <br />of these minutes. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Boyle to award the contract for an addition <br />to the police building to the low bidder, <br />Moore & Moore Contractors in the amount of <br />$13,148.00. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />4. Mayor Thomas stated that with the Daylight <br />Savings Time, now in effect, it is still dark <br />when employees report to work at 8 o'clock, <br />and crew members at the Public Works cannot <br />work in the dark, and he recommended changing <br />the employees working hours to 8:30 until <br />5:00 p.m., with the lunch hours being changed <br />from one hour to one-half hour. <br /> <br />
