CONSIDER REQUEST OF MR. CHARLES MARTORELL WITH REFERENCE <br />TO SAFETY CALENDARS - This item had been discussed at <br />the previous meeting. Mr. Martorell was recognized <br />to answer any questions. It was established that the <br />publisher would bear the costs of the calendars even <br />if enough ads were not sold to local business establish- <br />ments. <br />Motion by Commissioner Christensen, seconded by <br />Commissioner Price to authorize the request for <br />safety calendars for the Police Association, at no <br />cost to the City. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Kibodeaux. <br />+ + + <br />13. DISCUSS PROPOSED LEASE MAP FOR LA PORTE MUNICIPAL <br />AIRPORT - Mr. Jim Hutchison presented a proposed lease <br />map for the La Porte Municipal Airport. The Commission <br />was pleased with the plan. <br />Mr. Askins recommended lot or tract numbers. The <br />Engineer recommended no further leasing of the southern <br />portion at this time. <br />The proposed map is O.K. with the FAA and is based on <br />the same layout as Hobby Airport. Other things to be <br />considered are lease fees for some idea of projected <br />revenue. <br />.7 <br />Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle to accept the proposed lease map for further <br />study and discussion at the Work Shop, June 26, 1974. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />
