~ • • <br />• <br />Regular Meeting - 6/17/74 - Continued <br />The examiner's report was received today and Mr. Busch <br />gave a brief report on the examiners recommendation. <br />The report pointed out that although the proposal from <br />La Porte had merit, it is recommending to the Texas Water <br />Quality Board that the Gulf Coast Waste Disposal District <br />Authority concept be adopted. <br />A Public Hearing will be held in Austin on June 26, 1974, <br />when the previous petitions will be reviewed with the <br />Texas Water Quality Board and probably some action will <br />be taken by the official board. If the City should want <br />to pursue it further, the City should be represented <br />at said hearing. <br />It was decided that the City would pursue the matter <br />further because even if the Board should not consider <br />La Porte's proposal another grant might be received <br />and La Porte might be the regional operator of the <br />remaining entities. <br />Mr. Busch and a member of the Commission will go to <br />Austin to attend the hearing, June 26, 1974. <br />• (C) Commissioner Christensen asked Mr. Busch about the <br />Inflow-Infiltration Project. Mr. Busch stated that it <br />was about 80~ complete. <br />+ + + <br />17.
