RATIFY AWARDING BID TO JAY MARKS CHEVROLET FOR FIVE <br />AUTOMOBILES - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded <br />by Commissioner Christensen to ratify awarding the bid <br />for five automobiles to Jay Marks Chevrolet in the <br />amount of $20,100.00. The bid for five Chevrolet Impalas <br />was $21,850.00, less trade-in of two 1972 Dodge Polaras, <br />$1,750.00, making a total bid of $20,100.00. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />9. <br />• <br />ST PERMISSION TO PURCHASE EMERGENCY RADIO FOR <br />FIRE, POLICE, AND PUBLIC WORKS (1 RADIO - 3 FREQUENCY) <br />Mr. Jimmy Crate addressed the Commission and stated <br />that the City had been struck by lightning on several <br />occasions in the past and had been without radio <br />communications for some time. This radio would be <br />stored at another location and could be used at such <br />time as an emergency arose and could be located at <br />a home if necessary. A copy of quotation is attached. <br />Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner <br />Christensen to accept the quotation price and award <br />the bid to Motorola Communications and Electronics Inc., <br />in the amount of $1,295.00 for the purchase of this <br />emergency radio. The funds to come from the Fire, <br />Police and Public Works Departments. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br /> <br />
