• <br /> <br /> <br />HEARING RECORD <br />A Public Hearing was held on Monday, January 20, 1975, at 7:00 p.m. <br />in the La Porte City Commission Chambers, 124 South 2nd Street, <br />La Porte, Texas. <br />One purpose of the Public Hearing was to receive testimony on a <br />proposal by the City of La Porte to make certain changes in the <br />existing sewage treatment system. Another purpose of the Hearing <br />was to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project <br />and alternatives to it. <br />Mayor E. A. Thomas conducted the Hearing and upon calling for <br />persons wishing to testify found only the following: <br />Mr. James P. Hutchison, P.E. <br />1107 Fleetwood Drive <br />Baytown, Texas 77520 <br />U <br />Mayor Thomas administered the following oath to the witness: <br />"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, <br />and nothing but the truth?" <br />Mr. Hutchison answered the oath in the affirmative and proceeded to <br />review an environmental assessment of the proposed project. The <br />assessment was one he had prepared for the City of La Porte to meet <br />the requirements of Public Law 92-500 in making a federal grant re- <br />quest. A copy of the assessment, which represents the text of <br />Mr. Hutchison's testimony, is attached. <br />Also attached are copies of the Public Hearing Notice, a list of <br />those entities notified of the Public Hearing, affidavits verifying <br />publication in the Houston Chronicle and the Bayshore Sun, and a <br />statement that the Hearing was held in conformance with the Notice. <br /> <br />
