VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION (Cont'd.) <br />(C <br />GUS GROSS -Mr. Gus Gross, 1017 South Country Club Drive, <br />representing Sylvan Plaza Merchants, was recognized and <br />addressed the Commission in regard to parking at Sylvan <br />Plaza Shopping Center. <br />Mr. Gross asked that the Commission reconsider the <br />Ordinance No. 1002, regarding fire lanes. Mr. Gross <br />stated that the merchants realized that the Commission <br />had their best interests in mind when the Ordinance was <br />passed but felt that some consideration might be given <br />in regard to store front parking. <br />After a lengthy discussion, it was determined that the <br />Fire Marshal would meet with the merchants from Sylvan <br />Plaza Shopping Center and see what could be worked out <br />and not be in violation of the ordinance. <br />+ + + <br />6. AUDIT REPORT FROM AUDITOR - Mr. Eu ene Hove C.P.A. <br />g Y, <br />902 West Main, was recognized and presented copies of <br />the Annual Audit Report for the fiscal year ending <br />September 30, 1974. <br />Mr. Hovey gave a recap of all City funds. He stated in <br />his opinion that the balance sheets and the related <br />statements of changes in the balances of the funds listed <br />presented fairly the financial position of the City of <br />La Porte, Texas, as of September 30, 1974, and the results <br />of its operation for the fiscal year then ended, in <br />conformity with generally accepted accounting principles <br />as applied to municipalities on a modified accrual basis. <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Christensen to accept the Audit for the fiscal year ending <br />September 30, 1974. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
