CONSIDER RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AGREEMENT WITH CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE COUNCIL ON A GRANT FOR A JUVENILE SERVICE BUREAU - <br />Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, motion <br />by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Christensen to approve Resolution No. 75-2 entering into <br />an agreement with the Criminal Justice Council on a grant <br />for a Juvenile Service Bureau. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />13. CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Thomas read the following correspondence: <br />A. A letter from City of Houston, David F. Webb, Director <br />Public Service Department, dated March 14, 1975, regarding <br />Houston Pipe Line Company, subsidiary of Houston Natural <br />• Gas Corporation proposed rate increase, and inviting <br />representatives of the City to attend a meeting on <br />March 25, 1975. A copy of said letter is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />After a brief discussion, motion by Commissioner Price, <br />seconded by Commissioner Christensen, to authorize the <br />City Attorney to attend the meeting. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />CORRESPONDENCE - B. - A letter from Commissioner Tom Bass, <br />dated March 13, 1975, requesting a meeting to discuss <br />mutual interest items, to be held April 16, 1975. A copy <br />of said letter is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />CORRESPONDENCE - C. - A press release dated March 11, 1975, <br />stating that Tom C. Simons had been selected by General <br />Electric Foundation to receive the 1975 Gerald L. Phillippe <br />Award for distinguished public service.
