• • <br />• Regular Meeting 4/7/75 3 <br />Mayor Thomas read the recommendation from the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission as follows: Motion by Smith, <br />seconded by Love that no change in existing zoning clas- <br />sification in Block 125. The motion carried three to one. <br />A copy of said recommendation is attached and made a part <br />of these minutes. <br />Motion by Commissioner Christensen, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux, to accept the recommendation of the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission and not rezone Lots 17 through 26, Lots <br />27 and 28, Block 125, Town of La Porte, and they would reamin <br />residential. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />4. PUBLIC HEARING ON REVENUE SHARING FUNDS - Mayor Thomas <br />• stated that 106,873.00 in checks had been received, <br />$1,506.43, interest, making a total of $108,379.43. <br />This money had been recommended for the sewer project <br />on the south end of Hwy. 146. <br />Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone desiring to speak <br />for or against the budget of the total amount of $108,379.43 <br />into the Water-Sewer Fund for the sewer project on south <br />Spur 501. <br />Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux that the total amount of $108,379.43 be budgeted <br />to the Water-Sewer Fund for the sewer project on South <br />Spur 501. <br />Mrs. Virginia Cline stated that she had a question on the <br />motion. <br />Mayor Thomas asked for an opinion from the City Attorney <br />as to whether or not Mrs. Cline had the right to question <br />the motion at this time. <br />The City Attorney was of the opinion that the Commission <br />had a very liberal policy of allowing discussion from the <br />floor, and that the public could sign in prior to the meeting <br />• to address the commission. <br />
