CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR AMBULANCE <br />CONTRACT CONT D.)- <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />14. CORRESPONDENCE - <br />• <br />(A) Mayor Thomas read a letter to Mr. Wm. Mac Gann, attorney <br />for Luther Arnold, for full settlement on workman's compensa- <br />tion, in the amount of $3,128.91. Copy is attached. <br />(B)Mayor Thomas read a letter to Mr. James E. Peavy of the <br />Department of Health, Austin, and a letter from Mr. Mark <br />Lowry of the Department of Health, Austin, regarding water <br />and sewer service for Chemlime. A copy of each are attached. <br />(C) A letter from A4r. William R. Kopp of the Texas Parks and <br />Wildlife Department acknowledgeing receipt of the City's <br />application for assistance under the Land and Water Conser- <br />vation Fund Program. A copy is attached. <br />(D) A letter from MMr. W. D. Grantham, City of Angleton <br />regarding Rising Utility Rates, interested in forming <br />a coalition for utilities. A copy is attached. <br />(E) A letter from the Port of Houston Authority requesting <br />the closing of certain streets and alleys within the City <br />Limits of the City. A copy is attached. <br />After a brief discussion regarding the Port of Houston <br />Authority request for closing of certain streets and alleys, <br />motion by Commission Boyle, seconded by Commission <br />Kibodeaux, that the request be tabled. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None <br /> <br />
