• • <br />• Regular Meeting 9/15/75 5 <br />12. CORRESPONDENCE - A. A proposed proclamation was read <br />discouraging Halloween "treating" and encouraging "GREET <br />'N TREAT" DAY. A copy is attached and made a part <br />of these minutes. <br />B. A letter was read from Akron, Ohio, thanking the <br />City for a candle for celebrating the Sesquicentennial <br />of the City of Akron. All candles would be saved for <br />Candle Opening Ceremony later this year. A copy is <br />attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />C. MRS. EVELYN KENNEDY - informed the Commission of <br />plans for the Bicentennial projects and wanted the <br />Commission to consider applying to be a Bicentennial <br />City. The next Bicentennial Planning Meeting will <br />be held October 2, 1975, at 8:00 P.M. at the Neighbor- <br />hood Center and everyone was invited to attend. <br />+ + + <br />• 13. DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - After a brief discussion regarding <br />the Automatic Feeder Reader for the Nixdorf Computer, <br />motion by Commissioner Love, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cline to authorize advertising for bids and the purchase <br />of an Automatic Feeder Reader after a 90-day demonstration <br />period. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />ENGINEERING REPORT - <br />regarding the need of <br />the sewer line needed <br />and it was determined <br />be given at the work <br />+ + <br />There was a brief discussion <br />a regulatory utility ordinance; <br />at the National Guard Armory <br />that a report on annexation would <br />shop. <br /> <br />• <br />+ + <br />TRIP TO VALLES, MEXICO - Commissioner Cline updated <br />the Commission regarding her trip to Valles, Mexico <br />in regard to the City Sister Program. <br />
