RATIFY AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY TO SEND LETTER TO HARRIS- <br />GALVESTON SUBSIDENCE DISTRICT - Motion by Commissioner Love, <br />seconded y Commissioner Cline to authorize the City <br />Attorney to send a letter to Harris-Galveston Subsidence <br />District. A copy is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />17. CONSIDER ORDINANCE N0. 1023 REGULATING SPEED ZONES FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION - SPUR 498, SPUR 501, AND NEW STATE HIGH- <br />WAY 146 - Motion by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Cline to approve Ordinance No. 1023 as <br />read. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS DURING <br />CONSTRUCTION ON A PORTION OF SPUR 498 AND <br />SPUR 501 WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXA5, AND PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING <br />THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL UPON <br />CONVICTION BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT TO EXCEED <br />TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />18. RATIFY APPOINTING J. J. MEZA AS CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEE FOR <br />MEXICAN DELEGATION - Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded <br />by Commissioner Boyle to ratify appointing J. J.
