CONSIDER CALLING SPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING FOR DECEMBER 8, <br />1975, AT 7:00 P.M. - SISTER CITY PROGRAM - Motion by <br />Commissioner Love, seconded by Commissioner Cline to call <br />a special Commission Meeting for December 8, 1975, at 7:00 P.M. <br />to discuss the Sister City Program. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />19. CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Pro-Tem Kibodeaux stated that he had <br />received a.letter stating Mr. Isaac Gales had resigned as a <br />member of Bayshore Community Development, Inc., and asked <br />for recommendations for a replacement. <br />20. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - There was a brief discussion <br />regarding the ball parks, glassware being displayed on street <br />corners and the proposed carpet to be used in the Library. <br />ENGINEERING REPORTS - The Engineer informed the Commission of <br />the priority of the E.P.A., placing La Porte in position 128 <br />for funds for Step II of the E.P.A. Grant. There would be a <br />representative of Busch, Hutchison at the Hearing to be held <br />in Austin. The 16th Street water line is very near completion. <br />The Fairmont Park contracts for the water line were ready to be <br />signed. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding inspection of the project. <br />The Commission was of the consensus that a representative of <br />Busch, Hutchison should do the inspection. <br />
