CONSIDER AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH LA PORTE INDEPENDENT <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT TO HOLD JOINT ELECTIONS BEGINNING IN ` <br />APRIL, 1977 - Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by <br />Commissioner Love to authorize the Attorney to prepare <br />an agreement with La Porte Independent School District <br />to hold joint elections beginning in April, 1977. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />26. CONSIDER APPOINTING BOARD OF EQUALIZATION - After a brief <br />discussion regarding the Board of Equalization, motion by <br />Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Boyle to table <br />the appointment of the Board of Equalization at this time. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />27. CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Pro-Tem Kibodeaux made mention of <br />two letters received from Marvin Zindler regarding unsanitary <br />conditions. It was the consensus of opinion that if citizens <br />would contact the City first, it would not be necessary to <br />go further with possible problems. <br />+ + + <br />9 <br />28. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - LIBRARY - After a brief <br />discussion, motion by Commissioner Love, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cline to approve a change order for the Library in the amount <br />of $358.50. A copy of the change order is attached and made a <br />part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />
