DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - (Continued) <br />APPRECIATION - COMMISSIONER BOYLE - Mayor Pro-Tem Kibodeaux <br />expressed his pleasure in serving on the Commission with <br />Commissioner Boyle for the past six years. <br />JOINT ELECTION - The City Attorney advised the Commission <br />of a letter from the Justice Department regarding no <br />objections to joint elections for the City and the School <br />District. A copy is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br />0 <br />ACCEPT RESERVES - Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded <br />y Commissioner Boyle to accept the recommendation of <br />Chief Freeman and approve Scott Roberts and Gary Webb as <br />Reserve Officers of the Police Department. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• <br />SAN JACINTO DAY ACTIVITIES - Jerry Carpenter was recognized <br />and informed the Commission of San Jacinto Day activities <br />to be held at the San Jacinto Monument on April 21, 1976. <br />STREET BASE - Mr. D. M. Wilson, 507 South 7th Street, was <br />recognized and requested the Commissions consideration for <br />street base in the 500 block of South 7th Street. This was <br />taken under consideration. <br />0 <br />
