APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 7, 1976 - <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simons that the minutes of the regular meeting of June 7, 1976, <br />be approved as presented. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />6. APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Motion by Commissioner Cline, <br />seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to approve the accounts <br />payable as presented. A copy is attached and made a part of <br />these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />7. VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION - EUGENIA RILEY - <br />Was recognized and addressed the Commission about the possibility <br />of the Gulf Coast Development being housed in the Welfare Office. <br />Mrs. Riley requested that consideration be given to better <br />grounds work and play ground equipment at the North Side Civic <br />Center; two new mini-parks; better police communications; waiving <br />the swimming pool fee for the underpriviledged and replacing <br />the doors at the North Side Civic Center. <br />The Commissioner will take these items under advisement. <br />- 0 - <br />MRS. OPAL DANIELS - was recognized and addressed the Commission <br />as a citizen on the North Side requesting the Commission to give <br />consideration to the mowing of ditches and alleys; spraying for <br />mosquitoes; and the abundance of stray dogs and cats. Mrs. Daniel s <br />further stated that there was a definite need for fire extinguishers <br />at the North Side Civic Center and fire hydrants on the North Side. <br />These items will be taken under advisement. <br />• + + + <br />
