LETTER FROM TURNER, COLLIE & BRADEN, requesting withdrawal <br />of bid notice o August 2, 1976, at 7:00 P.M., for Spencer <br />Highway Grade Separation, due to delay in utility facility <br />relocation because of H. L. & P. strike. Anew bid date will <br />be scheduled after the strike has ended. <br />C. ACTUARY STUDY - The City Clerk was contacted by Mr. Robert <br />May of Rudd and Wisdom, stating that the Actuary Study for the <br />City of La Porte was ready for presentation. After a brief <br />discussion, it was the consensus of opinion that Mr. May be <br />invited to attend the Work Shop of August 26, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. <br />to make the Actuary Study presentation. <br />+ + + <br />9. SPECIAL BUDGET WORK SHOP - After a brief discussion, motion <br />by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux <br />• to schedule the Budget Work Shop for August 11, 1976, at <br />6:30 P.M., with no cancellation. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />10. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - Commissioner Kibodeaux <br />recognized Mr. Roy Waldrep, a report for the Bayshore Sun. <br />Mr. Waldrep informed the Commission that Mr. Perry Carter. <br />would be transferring to another location and a new publisher <br />for the Bayshore Sun would be arriving within the next month. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding the need for 100 water <br />meters to be purchased from the Water-Sewer Improvement Fund; <br />work being done on Crescent Shores Streets and the possible <br />need for new three-yard garbage containers. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
