DeBerry of the State Highway Department regarding <br />completion of Highway 225, were read. <br />RESOLUTION 76-6 - TEXAS HIGHWAY FUNDING CRISIS - After the <br />resolution was read, motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded <br />by Commissioner Simons to approve Resolution 76-6, Texas <br />Highway Funding Crisis. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Cline and Simons, Mayor Meza. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />15. PAY ESTIMATE - CHATHAM CONSTRUCTION COMPANY - CONSTRUCTION <br />OF FAIRMONT PARK RECREATIONAL FACILITIES - IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF 5 ,205.91 - Motion y Commissioner Simons, seconded <br />by Commissioner Cline to approve the pay estimate to Chatham <br />Construction Company in the amount of $59,205.91. Motion <br />• carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Cline and Simons, Mayor Meza. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />16. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - Mr. Shepherd informed <br />the Commission of a meeting he, the Mayor and Engineer <br />had had with the Subsidence District, stating that he felt <br />it was most profitable; the Board will be willing to give <br />additional well permits when requested. Surface water should <br />be available to La Porte by 1980. <br />TEXAS WATER QUALITY BOARD HEARING - David Corbin informed <br />the Commission of attending a hearing of the T.W.Q.B. Hearing <br />in Austin. La Porte rates No. 36 and there is a great <br />possibility that La Porte might get funding for sewer grant <br />within the next year and advised the City to amend the <br />application for Step II. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
