• 0 • Regular Meeting ll/l/76 9 21. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING AND ACCEPTING BIDS TO BE RECEIVED ON NOVEMBER 22, 1976, AT 7:00 P.M. FOR ONE BACKHOE AND FRONT END LOADER - Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Cline to authorize advertising and accepting bids to be received on November 22, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. for one Backhoe and Front End Loader. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None. 22. CORRESPONDENCE - A. A letter from Mr. Robert C. Rose, 302 So. 6th Street was read requesting better drainage at West "B" and South 6th Streets. B. A letter from Mr. Robert Chase, Nebbestolen 79, 5033 Fyllingsdalen, Bergen, Norway, addressed to the • La Porte Independent School District complaining about high taxes and the City not willing to rezone his property. 23. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - COMMISSIONER CLINE made a request to meet with the Assistant Public Works Director to discuss the need for a new Spreader. UNIFORMS - The Director of Finance was authorized to obtain quotations for uniform service. GRADE A WATER CERTIFICATE - The Acting Director of Public Works informed the Commission that Mr. Joe A. Rocha, Waste - Water Superintendent, had received the highest certificate issued to water utilities personnel, a Grade A Water Certifi- cate. A copy of the letter from the Texas Department of Health Resources is attached and made a part of these minutes. REPORT ON AVAILABILITY OF WATER AND SEWAGE SERVICE TO PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT NORTH OF SPENCER AND IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE AIRPORT - The Engineer presented a letter on the availability ooFwater and sewage service.
