• 0 <br />• Regular Meeting ll/l/76 9 <br />21. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING AND ACCEPTING BIDS TO BE <br />RECEIVED ON NOVEMBER 22, 1976, AT 7:00 P.M. FOR ONE BACKHOE <br />AND FRONT END LOADER - Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded <br />by Commissioner Cline to authorize advertising and accepting <br />bids to be received on November 22, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. for one <br />Backhoe and Front End Loader. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />22. CORRESPONDENCE - A. A letter from Mr. Robert C. Rose, <br />302 So. 6th Street was read requesting better drainage <br />at West "B" and South 6th Streets. <br />B. A letter from Mr. Robert Chase, Nebbestolen 79, <br />5033 Fyllingsdalen, Bergen, Norway, addressed to the <br />• La Porte Independent School District complaining about <br />high taxes and the City not willing to rezone his property. <br />23. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - COMMISSIONER CLINE made <br />a request to meet with the Assistant Public Works Director <br />to discuss the need for a new Spreader. <br />UNIFORMS - The Director of Finance was authorized to obtain <br />quotations for uniform service. <br />GRADE A WATER CERTIFICATE - The Acting Director of Public <br />Works informed the Commission that Mr. Joe A. Rocha, Waste - <br />Water Superintendent, had received the highest certificate <br />issued to water utilities personnel, a Grade A Water Certifi- <br />cate. A copy of the letter from the Texas Department of <br />Health Resources is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />REPORT ON AVAILABILITY OF WATER AND SEWAGE SERVICE TO PROPOSED <br />DEVELOPMENT NORTH OF SPENCER AND IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE <br />AIRPORT - The Engineer presented a letter on the availability <br />ooFwater and sewage service. A copy is attached and made a part <br />of these minutes. A copy of the letter mailed to the Mischer <br />• Corporation is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />
