CONSIDER AWARDING BID - FIVE HUNDRED FEET FIVE INCH FIRE HOSE - Upon the recommendation of the Fire Chief, motion by Commissioner Simons seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to award the bid. to Claude Wright & Associates for five hundred feet of five inch fire hose in the amount of $2,725.00. A copy of the recommendation is attached and made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline and Simons. NAYS: None. + + + 11. CONSIDER AWARDING BID - MOWING - Upon the recommendation of the Inspection Department, motion by Commissioner Love seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to award the bid for mowing to Walker Dump Truck and Tractor Equipment Company in the amount of $4.50 per lot. CONSIDER AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 - TO PERMIT MEDITERRANEAN GARDENS TO SELL BEER ON PREMISE - Motion by Commissioner Cline seconded by Commissioner Simons to approve amending Ordinance No. 1000 by adding Ordinance No. 1000-D to allow Mediterranean Gardens, 1025 South Broadway Street to sell beer on premise. A copy of Ordinance No. 1000-D is attached and made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline and Simons. NAYS: None. CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE AREAS WHERE BEER FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE PREMISES MAY BE SOLD AND PROHIBITING THE SALE ELSEWHERE; PROVIDING FOR HOURS OF OPENING AND CLOSING; PROVIDING SALE OF BEER FOR CONSUMPTION OFF PREMISES SHALL NOT BE AFFECTED; DEFINING SOURCE OF AUTHORITY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING THAT NO LICENSE SHALL BE ISSUED • EXCEPT FOR THE AREAS HEREIN DESIGNATED; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. + + +
