REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - RADIO FOR <br />MODULAR - Motion by Commissioner Simons seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux to authorize the request to <br />advertise for bids for radio for modular to be used as a <br />civil defense unit, bids to be accepted on April 4, 1977 <br />at 7:00 P.M. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />17. CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 77-3 - MUTUAL <br />AID - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux seconded by <br />Commissioner Love to approve Resolution No. 77-3 as <br />read. A copy of Resolution No. 77-3 is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• CAPTION: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REGULARLY EMPLOYED <br />POLICE OFFICERS OF THE CITY TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ANY <br />OTHER MUNICIPALITY OF'COUNTY REQUESTING SUCH ASSISTANCE, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO JOIN A MUTUAL AID LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE WITH NEIGHBORING CITIES. <br />+ + + <br />18. CORRESPONDENCE - The correspondence was read by Mayor <br />Meza, a letter from Humble Independent School District <br />enclosing some points on the Peveto Bill; a letter of <br />appreciation from Powitsky Associates, A.I.A. thanking <br />the City for their consideration regarding the new City <br />Hall; a Notice of Public Hearing of the Harris - Galveston <br />Coastal Subsidence District in the District Offices, <br />1730 NASA Road 1, Nassau Bay, at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, <br />March 9, 1977; an invitation to attend the grand opening <br />of the new Lubbock Civic Center.. <br />+ + + <br /> <br />
