CONSIDER APPROVING AUTI'_ORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - <br />OPERATION OF CONCESSION FOR SWIMMING POOL AND FAIRMONT <br />PARK RECREATIONAL FACILITY, TO BE ACCEPTED ON APRIL 18, <br />1977 - Motion by Commissioner Simons seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux to approve advertising for bids <br />i'or operation of concession at swimming pool and Fairmont <br />Park Recreational Facility. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Kibodeaux, Cline and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />18. CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Meza read a letter received from <br />Entex, Inc., delivered by Mr. W. C. Randall. The letter <br />stated that Entex, Inc., was withdrawing the original <br />statement of intent to change rates and would file a <br />new statement of intent to change rates which would <br />reflect the full rate of return that Entex, Inc., feels <br />they are entitled to. This letter was received after <br />Ordinance No. 1066 was passed and approved by the City <br />Commission. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />19. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - <br />COMMISSIONER KIBODEAUX - requested that Mr. Shepherd compile <br />a list of all those citizens with access to sewer but are <br />not using the sewer facility. <br />COMMISSIONER CLINE - Noting public works crews have started <br />some work at the new City Hall site. <br />CITY ATTORNEY - Mr. Askins asked for a brief executive session. <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR - Mr. Shepherd asked for a brief <br />executive session. <br />ENGINEER - Dave Corbin of Busch, Hutchison & Associates, <br />Inc., presented a letter to be sent to Exxon Pipeline Company <br />whereby the City of La Porte agrees to pay the cost of the <br />lowering of the Exxon pipeline at La Porte Municipal Airport. <br />• <br />
