• <br />Special Meeting 4/11/77 <br />C <br />2 <br />2. INDUCT NEW OFFICIALS INTO OFFICE - Mayor Meza administered <br />the Oath of Office to both Commissioners Cline and Tomerlin <br />at the same time. A Certificate of Election was presented <br />to each of them. <br />The newly elected officials were seated. <br />+ + + <br />3. CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION - A Certificate of Appreciation <br />was presented to Bill Love for his service to the City and <br />its citizens, as a member of the City Commission. <br />Mr. Love expressed his appreciation, stating he felt this <br />position had been the most interesting, the most challenging, <br />and the most rewarding of anything he had ever done. <br />+ + + <br />• 4. EXPRESSIONS OF APPRECIATION - <br />Commissioner Tomerlin expressed his appreciation to Mr. Love <br />for the condition Position I was left in. He further stated <br />that he was looking forward to working in this position. He <br />wished that there had been more interest shown, as he was <br />elected unopposed by another candidate. <br />Commissioner Cline recognized her husband, Robert; her <br />mother, Mrs. Murrell, visiting here from Oklahoma; and her <br />Aunt Frances, visiting here from California; expressing her <br />appreciation to all. She stated she had been encouraged to <br />know that she had the support of so many dear friends, making <br />her job as a public servant easier. She further stated that <br />she was proud there were people like this to serve. <br />RECOGNITION - Mayor Meza recognized Mrs. John Tomerlin, her <br />sons, Marty and Mike; as well as Commissioner Tomerlin's Mother. <br />Mrs. Tomerlin introduced their niece, Carol. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />• <br />
