APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - MAY 16, 1977 - <br />- SPECIAL MEETING MAY 25, 1977_- <br />Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner <br />Tomerlin to approve the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of May 16, 1977 and the special meeting of May 25, 1977 <br />as presented. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />2 <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />4. APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, <br />seconded by Commissioner Simons to approve the accounts payable <br />as presented. A copy is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />5. VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION - H. M. ROBINSON - <br />509 S. 5th Street - Mr. H. M. Robinson was recognized and <br />addressed the Commission regarding the need for a meeting place <br />for the Alcoholic Anonymous group. Mr. Robinson stated that <br />he had obtained permission from the owner of a metal building <br />located at 215 S. 4th but because of zoning there would be a <br />need for a possible variance. If this was not possible then <br />perhaps someone knew of something that would be available, not <br />of a public nature. The group presently meet at Mr. Robinson's <br />home, but they are growing. It was determined that this would <br />be placed on the Work Shop Agenda for further discussion. <br />6. CONSIDER AWARDING BID FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICE TO <br />INDUSTRIAL SWEEPING IN THE AMOUNT OF $10.50 PER CURB MILE - <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Tomerlin to award the bid for street sweeping service to <br />Industrial Sweeping in the amount of $10.50 per curb mile. <br />A copy of the contract is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />
