APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - MAY 16, 1977 - - SPECIAL MEETING MAY 25, 1977_- Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 16, 1977 and the special meeting of May 25, 1977 as presented. Motion carried by the following vote: 2 AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None. 4. APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Simons to approve the accounts payable as presented. A copy is attached and made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None. 5. VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION - H. M. ROBINSON - 509 S. 5th Street - Mr. H. M. Robinson was recognized and addressed the Commission regarding the need for a meeting place for the Alcoholic Anonymous group. Mr. Robinson stated that he had obtained permission from the owner of a metal building located at 215 S. 4th but because of zoning there would be a need for a possible variance. If this was not possible then perhaps someone knew of something that would be available, not of a public nature. The group presently meet at Mr. Robinson's home, but they are growing. It was determined that this would be placed on the Work Shop Agenda for further discussion. 6. CONSIDER AWARDING BID FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICE TO INDUSTRIAL SWEEPING IN THE AMOUNT OF $10.50 PER CURB MILE - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to award the bid for street sweeping service to Industrial Sweeping in the amount of $10.50 per curb mile. A copy of the contract is attached and made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None.
