CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Meza read a letter from Celanese inviting the officials to attend a plant tour and lunch at the Houston Yacht Club on November 3, 1977, at 11:00 A.M., at the Clear Lake Plant. + + + 19. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - Mayor Meza stated that the plans for the widening of Fairmont Parkway from the Railroad to State Highway 146 were again ready for approval by the County and the City. Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to authorize the Mayor to sign the plans for the widening of Fairmont Parkway from the Railroad to State Highway 146. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: NAYS: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. None. + + + 4 ENGINEER'S REPORT - Dave Corbin was recognized and discussed with the Commission the need for a resolution to amend our Grant for PL 92-500 to include Bayshore Municipal Utility District in our application. It was determined that The City would not bear any expense; all expenses would be borne by Bayshore Municipal Utility District. It was moved by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to authorize the City Attorney to prepare a resolution and authorize the Mayor to sign the Resolution amending the grant application for the PL 92-500. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None. + + + 20. EXECUTIVE SESSION - V.A.T.S. - ARTICLE 6252-17 - SECTION 2 _ (E) AND (G) - (LITIGATION AND PERSONNEL) - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin that the meeting recess for an executive session.
