CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Meza read a letter from Celanese <br />inviting the officials to attend a plant tour and lunch <br />at the Houston Yacht Club on November 3, 1977, at 11:00 A.M., <br />at the Clear Lake Plant. <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />19. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - Mayor Meza stated that <br />the plans for the widening of Fairmont Parkway from the <br />Railroad to State Highway 146 were again ready for approval <br />by the County and the City. Motion by Commissioner Simons, <br />seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to authorize the Mayor <br />to sign the plans for the widening of Fairmont Parkway from <br />the Railroad to State Highway 146. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NAYS: <br /> <br />Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />None. <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />4 <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT - Dave Corbin was recognized and discussed <br />with the Commission the need for a resolution to amend our <br />Grant for PL 92-500 to include Bayshore Municipal Utility <br />District in our application. It was determined that The City <br />would not bear any expense; all expenses would be borne by <br />Bayshore Municipal Utility District. It was moved by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin <br />to authorize the City Attorney to prepare a resolution and <br />authorize the Mayor to sign the Resolution amending the <br />grant application for the PL 92-500. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />20.
