• Special Meeting 4/10/78 2 3. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO NEW CITY OFFICIALS - I. J. KIBODEAUX - COMMISSIONER, POSITION NO. 2 TOM C. SIMONS - COMMISSIONER, POSITION N0. 4 - Judge J. B. Williamson administered the oath of office to both Commissioner Kibodeaux and Commissioner Simons simultaneously. Certificates of Election were presented to both Commissioners. J. J. MEZA - MAYOR - Judge J. B. Williamson administered the oath of office to Mayor Meza and presented a Certificate of Election to him. The newly elected officials were reseated. Commissioner Simons expressed appreciation to ever_y_one, especially his wife and son. Commissioner Kibodeaux expressed appreciation to everyone that supported him; stating that he would try to work for all the citizens. A special thanks to his wife, Ruth. Mayor Meza expressed his appreciation to all the citizens • for voting, showing their interest and concern for the City. A special thanks to Dottie Kaminski, Mr. and Mrs. Riley, his Aunt and Uncle, City employees and friends; especially his wife, Patsy, and family. Mayor Meza invited everyone present to attend a reception at the Civic Center. + + + 4. ADJOURNMENT - Motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None.
