• Regular Meeting 4/17/78 5 <br />11. CONSIDER APPROVING PAYMENT TO MOTOROLA, INC., FOR BASE STATION <br />RADIO FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AT THE NEW POLICE BUILDING, <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,523.00 Motion by Commissioner Simons, <br />seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to approve payment to Motorola, <br />Inc., for a base station radio for the Fire Department, to be <br />located at the new Police Building, in the amount of $5,523.00. <br />Copies of the invoices are attached. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />12. CONSIDER ACCEPTANCE BY THE CITY FOR REPAIR OF THE 16TH STREET <br />SANITARY SEWER LINE - A letter from the Engineer recommending <br />acceptance by the City was read. A copy of the recommendation <br />is attached and made a part of these minutes. After a brief <br />discussion, motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by <br />Commissioner Cline to table action on acceptance until the <br />• City was notified that the County would accept the road <br />repairs for the County to continue to maintain 16th Street. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />13. CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1117 VACATING, <br />ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 825, TOWN OF <br />LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - It was determined that all <br />the necessary requirements had been met. After the proposed <br />ordinance was read in full, motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, <br />seconded by Commissioner Simons to approve Ordinance No. 1117 <br />as read. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING ALL <br />OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE (825), IN THE <br />TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS (FRED WESTERGREN). <br />is <br />
