CONSIDER ACCEPTING R <br />DRIVE ( . 7$BH ACRES <br />4 <br />Y DEED TO A -PORTION OF BAYSHORE <br />TEXAS After a brief discussion regarding an exchange of <br />property and opening of a street between the City of La Porte <br />and St. Mary's Catholic Church, motion by Commissioner Simons <br />seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to accept the right-of-way <br />deed to a portion of Bayshore Drive. A copy is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />9. CONSIDER CALLING A - JOINT PUBLIC; HEARING TO BE HELD ON <br />'OCTOBER 4, 19 7 8 ., AT'` 7.00 P.M.,. TO` CONSYDER RE'ZONING BLOCK <br />30, BEACH PARK, FROM' RESIDENTIAL' TO "C"APARTMENT AND COMMERCIAL <br />The City Administrator reiterated to the Commission regarding <br />previous meetings and discussions regarding the Tarpey property, <br />Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 30, Beach Park, and that the Commission <br />requested the Planning and Zoning on their own motion request <br />a public hearing for the rezoning of the entire block. The <br />Administrator stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended that only Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 30, Beach Park <br />be considered for rezoning. <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simons to call a joint public hearing to be held on October 4, <br />1978, at 7:00 P.M., to consider rezoning Block 30, Beach Park, <br />from,Residential to "C" Apartment and Commercial District. <br />Motion carried by the following voter <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />
