CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE N0. 1136 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING LEASE BETWEEN T~iE CITY'AND FAIRMONT PARK WE'ST' <br />COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATI'ON,`INC., -'C'ITY OF' LA PORTE <br />PARK SITE - After the proposed ordinance was read in full, <br />motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to approve Ordinance No. 1136 as read. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND <br />THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE TO EXECUTE AND TO AFFIX THIS SEAL OF THE CITY <br />TO AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY, AS LESSOR, AND <br />FAIRMONT PARK WEST COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION, INC., <br />AS LESSEE, FOR A PERIOD OF FORTY YEARS, BEGINNING ON THE 1ST <br />DAY OF OCTOBER, 1978, AND ENDING ON THE 30TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, <br />2018, FOR A LEASE OF A CITY OF LA PORTE PARK SITE, ACCORDING <br />TO THE TERMS, PROVISIONS, AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN SAID <br />AGREEMENT, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART <br />• HEREOF; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. <br />+ + + <br />9.
