• <br />Regular Meeting 11/8/78 5 <br />• <br />8. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - (A) The City Administrator stated <br />that he had scheduled a meeting with the Engineer for <br />Friday at 10:00 A.M., to discuss the new sewer plant. There <br />was a brief mention regarding the capital improvements for <br />a bond issue. <br />(B) The City Administrator stated that we had budgeted for a <br />new set of maps. Proposals will be coming from Zingery Map <br />and International Map Companies. <br />(C) The Administrator stated that a request had been received <br />from Mr. Robert E. Weathersby of Marco Equipment Rentals, Inc., <br />for the extension of a water line to his property located west <br />of the Houston Pipe Line Station on Fairmont Parkway. <br />Mr. Weathersby understands the provisions of the utility extension <br />contract and is prepared to proceed with the extension under the <br />contract terms. <br />The Administrator stated he would be preparing a cost estimate <br />for this extension. Commissioner Cline asked what the extent <br />of the extension would be. The Administrator stated it was <br />approximately 550 feet. This. extension would be from <br />• Matheson west to the City Gate Station of Entex on the North <br />side of Fairmont Parkway. <br />(D) The Administrator informed the Commission of his attendance <br />of a meeting with the Harris-Galveston Subsidence for the <br />application for well permits. <br />(E) An employee, Felipe Pesina, was injured on the job; possibly <br />losing the last joint of a finger. <br />+ + + <br />9. COUNCIL ACTION - Commissioner Tomerlin asked the Administrator <br />for an estimated cost figure for the study for the surface water. <br />He stated that he really did not know, but would estimate around <br />$25,000 to $30,000. A letter was sent to surrounding industries <br />asking for joint participation. <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux stated that he had attended some meetings <br />pertaining zoning at the T. M. L. Convention and found them very <br />informative. <br />• <br />Commission Cline asked if the Commission had formally adopted <br />the utility extension agreement?
